De Back Conserveringsgroep, part of the Braspenning Group, is hiring a Buyer / Work Preparation Specialist based in Velsen-Noord. In this full-time role (38 hrs/week), you manage procurement, cost estimation, and work preparation for industrial blasting and coating projects across the IJmond region.

For one of our subsidiaries, De Back Conserveringsgroep in Velsen-Noord, we are looking for a Buyer / Work Preparation Specialist for industrial blasting and coating projects in the IJmond region (Heemskerk, Beverwijk, Velsen and surrounding areas).

What will you be doing?
As a Buyer / Work Preparation Specialist, you are the linchpin between procurement, calculation, and execution. You lay the foundation for successful industrial blasting and coating projects. Your responsibilities include purchasing (calculations) for assignments across the De Back Conserveringsgroep entities, as well as taking on tasks from both Project Management and the QHSE / KAM specialist within the organization.
Calculation
- Pre-calculation and cost estimation
- Analysing specifications, drawings, and technical documentation
- Determining material quantities
- Requesting and comparing quotes from suppliers and subcontractors
- Identifying and assessing financial risks
- Assisting production management in setting up project files per assignment
- Calculating procurement costs
- In due course, developing technical instructions for execution teams
- Serving as the point of contact for clients and project management
- Conducting post-calculations and optimizations
- Communicating project completion notifications to clients
- MBO level or higher (technical background)
- Solid experience with Microsoft Office applications
- A true team player mentality
- Experience with Microsoft Exact is a strong advantage
- Strong analytical skills and a cost-conscious mindset
