Office Administrator Braspenning Den Helder (24-32 hrs/wk)

Braspenning Den Helder (formerly Teerenstra) is looking for an organised and hands-on Office Administrator for 24 to 32 hours a week. You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the office, including answering telephone calls, welcoming visitors, processing invoices and maintaining order administration. MBO level, solid Microsoft Office skills and an accurate working style are required. Knowledge of Exact Online is a plus. You will be joining an informal, no-nonsense team at a unique location in the port of Den Helder, with opportunities to grow within the Braspenning Group.

Our blasting and painting specialists make that happen on the work floor. But who makes sure the office runs just as smoothly? That's where you come in. 

Teerenstra was a household name in Den Helder and the Dutch fishing industry for over fifty years. Now part of the Braspenning Group — with seventy years of experience in steel preservation and corrosion protection — the company is stronger than ever. And we are now looking for someone to run the office with the same dedication to quality as our team on the yard. 

What will you be doing?

As our Office Administrator, you are the person the office revolves around. No two days are the same: one morning you're processing invoices, the next you're welcoming suppliers at the yard gate. You are the first face of Braspenning Den Helder — and that shows in everything you do. 

  • You answer the phone and redirect calls — always friendly, always professional.
  • You manage the registration of suppliers, subcontractors and visitors at the yard entrance.
  • You handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, both physical and digital. 
  • You accurately record purchase invoices and working hours in our accounting system.
  • You order office supplies and manage stock levels so no one ever runs short.
  • You ensure that the order administration — both digital and physical — is kept in perfect order.

Who are you:

You don't need maritime knowledge — we'll handle that ourselves. What we are looking for is someone who is well-organised, knows how to get things done, and feels at home in a company where hard work is the norm and a good sense of humour is always welcome. 

  • MBO educational level, preferably with an administrative background. 
  • Available for a minimum of 24 hours per week.
  • Fluent in written and spoken Dutch; a working knowledge of English is a plus. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Knowledge of Exact Online is a big Plus.
  • Accurate, level-headed under pressure and able to switch between tasks with ease. 
  • A team player — but equally capable of planning and carrying out your work independently.
