Someone who maintains oversight when the pressure is on, who speaks the technical language and thinks commercially — and who knows how to lead a team without losing the human touch. Our business unit in the north of the Netherlands, Noordhof Schilderwerken B.V., is looking for exactly that kind of person: an experienced Project Manager Steel Conservation who is immediately available to support our General Manager in the north of the Netherlands. You will work from our locations in Kolham, Westerbroek and Leer, and serve as the central link between the client, the team and higher management at our head office in Amsterdam.

What will you be doing?
As Project Manager at Noordhof Schilderwerken B.V., you'll bear final responsibility for large and complex projects — from initial definition through to final delivery. No two days are the same, and that is exactly what makes this role so compelling. 

• You translate client requirements into definite project plans, work descriptions and realistic budgets.
• You lead project teams and ensure the right people, resources and methods are available at the right time.
• You monitor progress, quality, timelines and costs — and step in wherever necessary.
• You handle additional and reduced work orders with clients and participate in construction meetings.
• You proactively advise clients on major maintenance and on multi-year technical maintenance scenarios.
• You identify opportunities, manage risks and produce reports that are directly actionable by management.
• You support and strengthen the General Manager in the day-to-day operations across the north of the Netherlands. 

Your skills: 

• An excellent command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written (required).
• Experience in steel and metal conservation is a significant advantage and will give you an immediate head start.
• Demonstrable experience as a project manager, preferably in steel and metal conservation or a related technical sector.
• HBO educational level with knowledge of materials, techniques and project management methodologies.
• A VCA certificate for supervisors (or willingness to obtain this promptly).
• NACE level 2, COSI 'Supervision' or comparable certifications are an advantage.
• Immediate availability for 40 hours per week with flexibility to work across multiple locations.
• A combination of technical insight, commercial awareness and strong interpersonal skills.
